Indaba Council

The Indaba council consists of campus leaders who are charged with helping to chart a path towards sustainability at FAMU. Guided by the creative and intellectual capital of FAMU faculty, staff and students working in Focus Teams, the Indaba council develops strategies and recommendations and help implement initiatives.

The Indaba council is co-chaired by Si Affiliate Faculty Dr. Kwasi Densu and Advisory Council member Dr. Fran Close

Bari Shepard

Bari Shepard the Environmental Coordinator for the Department of Environmental Health and Safety. She provides oversight on renovation/demolition projects involving Asbestos and Lead Based Paint Abatement, Inspects FAMU laboratories and handles Hazardous Waste and Universal Waste Issues. She also teaches Laboratory Safety, Hazardous Waste Awareness and Storm water Pollution Prevention.

Richard Gragg

Richard Gragg is an Associate Professor of Environmental Science and Policy. He integrates teaching, research and community engagement in the areas: environmental toxicology and health disparities; environmental equity and justice; and sustainability science with an emphasis on community-university engagement. He is the founding director of the Center for Environmental Equity and Justice at FAMU.

Glory Brown is the  director of the Office of Sponsored Programs in the Division of Research and is co-leader of the Research focus team. Glory directs a team that assists faculty and administrators in the acquisition and management of external funds, principally from governmental agencies to support research, training and other sponsored projects.
