Center for Water and Air Quality
The Center for Water and Air Quality (CWAQ) has a diverse faculty from the disciplines of Soil Science, Agronomy, Entomology, Forestry, Agricultural Engineering and Agribusiness. The CWAQ is the focal point for faculty research in water and air science, the catalyst for developing collaborative projects, a conduit to recruit undergraduate and graduate students, and to reach out to stakeholders.

Center for Biological Control
The Center for Biological Control is a unique partnership between Florida A&M University, the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) and Animal and Plant Health inspection Service (APHIS) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Established in 1999, the Center has continued to successfully deliver on its mission to: generate, apply and transfer innovative, ecologically based solutions to pest problems affecting agriculture, natural resources, and human health while developing the human capacity for continued future innovation.

NOAA Environmental Cooperative Science Center
The Environmental Cooperative Science Center was established in 2001 at FAMU through a competitively awarded cooperative agreement from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and a new five-year award was made to the team led by FAMU in 2006 and again in 2011. Through these grants, the center has increased the number of scientists, particularly from under-represented minority groups in the environmental, coastal, and oceanic sciences.
